PipeBurst! Woooohoooo
2008/01/27

Ok this post was meant for Friday but my computer had some spazzo problems. So on Friday, we were released from school at 8.30AM (ok, 9AM for my class). Because an underground pipe burst! WOOHOO! I've never felt so happy :D The whole school was cheering like some mad loons. LOL.

Joey and I then went to town, which was WAAAAY cool. The streets were almost totally empty, which is tres rare. Downside: shops were still closed. So we wandered around for who knows how long and then went to buy tickets for 27 Dresses! The show was really really really really nice :D ALL of you should go and watch it. Katherine Heigl is so gorgeous in the movie :)

His car is being robbed! Call the police!
2008/01/16

Our History project was like moved forward to tomorrow cause Mr Anthony wanted like us to defend one acused party :/ So Suzanna, Eunice and I stayed back to like somewhat redo our presentation.

We crapped around (no, I'm not referring to crapping as in like shitting) and laughed for like two hours. I think we were super loud and annoying. Hahaha. But whatever. It was SOO fun. We laughed at Mr & Mrs XXXX for like an eternity, like BROWN COWS> LOL.

Then, while walking out towards the back gate, we passed the car park. We saw Mr Low's car like parked nearby and the driver's seat door was WIDE OPEN. And so was the car boot. And we didn't see anyone. We were like "MR LOW'S CAR IS BEING ROBBED! CALL THE POLICE!!!" And it was as though the police station heard us, cause a police car drove in. !!! !!! !!!. Hahahaha. I think we nearly fainted. Apparently, Mr Low was standing behind the car and was blocked by the car boot door thing. -.- And he started laughing at us. Hahaha. So spazzy.

P.S. Sec 1 ELDDS auditions are tomorrow. AND SO IS THE INTERVIEW. Watching and judging auditions are going to be funnn. By the interview...

Mrs Raj is funny, in her own way.
2008/01/15

So during English lesson today, Mrs Raj did this really funny yet weird thing. We were going through the comprehension we were made to do so she has like the answers were on the screen and stuff. So all of us were busy copying the answers and like few people were listening to her explaining the questions. So then, she began scrolling the Microsoft Word document up and down really fast so we couldn't see anything. Haha. It's really quite hilarious. Mrs Raj and like going on and explaining stuff and in the background, there's a spazzy screen scrolling up and down (grammatical error!) like some mad thing. And she's like oblivious to it. Haha.

Ahh! After the briefing today, I'm really worried and scared for Friday's interview with the EV (I have zilch idea what it stands for but that's what everyone calls them) people for the autonomous status. Ahhhh! I really hope I don't fidget about in my seat. GAH.

Tomorrow's the History presentation thing. I hope our's is okay. I mean we ARE presenting for Mr Anthony. Which is TRES TRES TRES nerve-wrecking.

Going back to school feels like jet lag.

New phone! :) Ahahaha. I've been stuck with my RAZR for long enough. Woohoo! Nokia rocks man. I'm never leaving yooou, Nokia.

Okay, so we received our brand new school handbooks today. Firstly, the pages are way too thin. You can't really use a marker to write on them cause it will kind of seep through into the next page and stuff. Erlack. Cheap-o. And the person who took the photographs that are in the handbook and chose them, is either reallly mean or is really blind. They keep taking photographs of people from awkward angles (E.G. from below the nostrils). BOOGER alert.

My head's been feeling really heavy these few days. I guess I'm still not used to the whole waking up at the unearthly time of the day thing. And we have E Math MRT (Math Revision Test, not the MRT trains) testing us on all our Sec three stuffz, tomorrow. GROAN.

Bribing people with sweets actually works.
2008/01/05

I'm SO-OOO happy I've got Mr Anthony for Social Studies and History :) The first lesson with him was Social Studies. The classroom atmosphere was soooooo tense that all we could hear was his voice and the spinning of the fans (I swear one day one of the fans is going to fall and decapitate someone). And I felt so tense that whenever he made those silly, not-funny jokes (which he does not like laugh or smile whilst saying them), I would laugh. Of course not those laugh-out-loud laughs. And it wasn't even funny. Somebody smack me.

Yesterday. CCA Fair. I was and still am quite surprised at the number of people who signed up for auditions (seeing that we only started planning for our booth like the day before yesterday). I know our numbers aren't as big as those of others, but whatever. Maybe they signed up because we have like a bowl of sweets which looked really attractive. Haha. We actually only need like a quarter of the number of people who signed up.

Oh yes. There were these two sec ones (who were awfully small) who were some what wandering near our booth. So we went forward to like convince them to sign up and stuff. Then, Angel came and joined us and she was like so into convincing them to join that they got scared. I told them 'Don't be scared of us. We're really nice people.' To which the smaller of the two replied 'But she's very scary', whilst pointing at Angel. Haha.

It was generally quite fun I suppose. Except for the scary (or annoying) part where we spilt kerosene, twice. It really wasn't our fault. Those stupid tribal lamp things kept falling over and some kerosene would spill. But we er cleaned it up.

PISSED. How to stop an exploding handphone.
2008/01/02

I know it's weird to have a second post in the same day, BUT I'M UBER pissed now. My phone is like apparently pissed at me as well. It's hanged and is making this continuing beeping-like sound, which terrifies me, cause I'm afraid it's gonna explode. But then, there is the power of removing the batteries. Problem solved.

ANYWAY, MAIN REASON FOR BEING PISSED: The more I think about the arrangement for which teacher is teaching what class, the piss-er I get. B-I-A-S-E-D. It's like we do well and we get rewarded unjustly, unless we are a certain class or something. UGH.

And you know what? This is the show-stopper - We cannot leave our books under our table. Like, ??!! I do not see the logic of us being allowed to put of stuff in the metal cabinet at the back which I don't think that it is 'lockable', and not allowed to put our books under the table. I mean how can the books of 40 people fit into that teeny cabinet. And our books aren't exactly light. Thanks to those brilliant publishers who LURVE to put lots of coloured pictures in every space available in the pages of the textbook, making it thus thicker and duh, heavier.

Okay, I feel better now. Apparently typing really fast and hard helps to ease the heart.

First Day.

I've got the same Chemistry teacher (who is also my form teacher, isn't that awesome...), Geography and Chinese teacher as last year. I'm not sure about other subjects yet. I'm really quite annoyed by our school doing this whole banding thing for like almost every subject. IT IS NOT HELPING OKAY. First, there was Geography. And that was BAAAAD enough. Now, Bio. NOOOOO. The first lesson was quite a snore-fest (the teacher is nice, but boooring). My grades are like dropping because of this nonsense (according to my Geography results). UGH.

Okay. So anyway, the first day's quite the same as always, I think. We go to the parade ground and take like 45 hours to get into our lines cause the sec ones apparently don't know how to follow markings on the ground. Sing the national anthem, go to the hall and welcome the brand new sec ones, introduce planning committee, listen to a 93-hour long devotion and discipline matters, etcetera etcetera. Then we head back to the ol' classroom for a spanking time with our new form teachers and form tutors (who are my Chemistry and English teachers) to do admin things and what not.

Recess. I have to say that I am really not liking the new 'furniture' in the canteen(i.e. canteen tables and chairs). They make the canteen look like a kopitiam cause of its roundness and chairs around it. And it would be kind of awkward to share tables with other people cause you would be like facing them and would be indirectly eavesdropping on their conversations. Erlack.
